Dear Shawnee Neighbor, Thank you for visiting my website! I am proud to be running for re-election the Shawnee City Council. I love Shawnee, it has been our home for most of our lives. A great city with a "small town" feel, Shawnee has the potential to be even better in the future. You, the citizen, must be part of that process. In May of 2019, you did - to the tune of 72% of Shawnee residents making it clear they did not want a tax increase to pay for a poorly-conceived community/recreation center when Shawnee has many unmet needs. From $140 million in failing pipes to the burden of high taxes on our families and businesses, it is imperative that the people weigh in on the proper priorities for the City Council. In November of 2019 and 2021, you did again, when you elected a strong majority to the City Council who is in favor of lowering property taxes, preserving our neighborhoods, hiring staff that is on the side of residents, and passing fiscally responsible budgets that prioritize needs over wants and fully fund our police and fire. In the last two years, since we've had that majority, we have delivered. Over the next few months, I look forward to knocking on doors, listening to your concerns and ideas, and having discussions about the future of Shawnee. If elected, I vow to put those ideas into action - and together, we will get the job done.
